Azerbaijan Medical Association (AzMA) is a voluntary non-political , non-governmental, religious free, non-profit and an independent medical organisation that includes more than 600 members who are medical scientists, medical and health care professionals, young doctors and medical students of Azerbaijan. The association represents the public face of Azerbaijan medicine.

AzMA was founded in April 1998 by doctor Nariman Safarli and a group of young doctors. AzMA was officially registered by Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Justice in December 22 1999. In april 2000 AzMA became a member of Azerbaijan NGO Forum, in may 2000 - one of the organisers of "Health defence" coalition, that united all medical NGOs activated in the territory of Azerbaijan.
